About girl george:

Jordan, aka Girl George, is originally from Reno, Nevada and currently living in Truckee, California.

Girl George was born out of Jordan’s opposing characteristics - she was originally a molecular biologist and mindfulness teacher during the week, only going to shows and festivals on the weekends. Her passion for music ultimately turned into a much stronger calling to leave the lab behind, and become a DJ/music producer.

The name Girl George, originally a nickname from an old workplace, turned into something that stuck because of how it encapsulated the idea of polarity so well within two words (male vs female). Her mission is to weave both scientific and energetic influences into her music; to show that opposites (polarities) are both parts of the same pattern, and to explore how we can use our own polarities to create new levels of embodiment.

Her sets range from bass, dubstep, trap and rap to slower, deeper bass and genre-mixed sets for yoga classes and spiritual endeavors.

While early on in her musical career, she has made a splash: in 2025 she opened for Maddy O’Neal, Superfuture, SoSus, Siren & Seer and Max Low. She also became a member of the Kyra Collective, a community of femme artists working together to make a positive change in the music industry. She also was on the team to help the Ableton Music Producer Podcast’s host, Dan Giffin, make the Ableton AI Chatbot (rightfully named), Abe. She has played at two festivals: the Wild Lotus Yoga Festival in Palisades Tahoe and a private festival in the desert outside the Playa, where Burning Man takes place.

areas of expertise:

Listen here.

Music is an expression of polarity: heavy hits vs silence, big space vs loud noise. It is important to me to remain fluid and let myself express many different flavors of music, vs define my brand with one genre. With that being said, I gravitate towards bass music most, with strong seconds being yoga/spiritual music, tech house and upbeat vibes.
